Space Rental

Kast Iron Soda Works offers intentional, welcoming spaces for gatherings of all kinds—celebrations, meetings, showers, and time together that matters. Whether you’re reserving a room or the full facility, our goal is to make the experience feel relaxed, clear, and unhurried.

We offer two rental options, based on day and time.

Back room rental

(Open hours only)

Our Back Room Rental provides a reserved space within Kast Iron Soda Works—perfect for smaller gatherings while still enjoying the atmosphere of the shop.

What to Expect

Use of the back room for 2 hours
The space will be marked “Reserved”
Please note: the back room cannot be fully closed off and may be used as a pass-through for staff accessing storage and customers using the rear door

Pricing

$50 — up to 2 hours
$25 per additional hour (flat, full-hour rate only)

Bar Tab

$60 minimum bar tab required
(If your total tab is under $60, the $60 minimum still applies.)
Individual self-pay is permitted for parties of 15 or more
Extended rental time includes a $20/hr increase to the bar minimum

Seating for up to 24
Maximum capacity 35
A 6-foot folding table available upon request

Set-Up & Clean-Up

All set-up and clean-up must occur within the rental window
No early entry is available for back room rentals

FULL FACILITY RENTAL

(Sundays only)

Our Full Facility Rental offers exclusive access to the entire Kast Iron Soda Works space—ideal for larger gatherings or events where you want the place to yourselves.

What’s Included:

Exclusive use of the entire facility
Dedicated staff assigned to your event
2-hour rental period
1 hour of early entry for set-up
30 minutes following the event for clean-up
Tables and seating arranged to suit your gathering

Pricing

$225 — 2-hour rental
$75 per additional hour (flat, full-hour rate)

Bar Tab

$90 minimum bar tab required
(If your total tab is under $90, the $90 minimum still applies. Tabs over $90 are paid as incurred.)
Individual self-pay is permitted for parties of 25 or more

Capacity

Seating available for approximately 75 indoors
Additional patio seating for approximately 40 outdoors available (weather permitting)

Additional Staffing

Parties of 60 guests or more require additional staffing
$45 large-group staffing fee
Extended time may increase staffing fees

Allowances & Expectations

A Note from Kast Iron

Kast Iron exists to create space for people to slow down, connect, and enjoy the moment. Our rental policies are designed not to complicate your gathering—but to ensure everything runs smoothly so you can focus on the people you’re with.

Food & Drinks

Outside food may be brought in or delivered
Please do not bring outside drinks, with the exception of bottled water
We provide a free water cooler for guests
Kast Iron Soda Works is an alcohol-free space
(Alcohol may be considered only for private, full-facility rentals on a case-by-case basis and must be approved in advance)

Decorations

Decorations are welcome
Please do not use tape, push pins, nails, or command hooks on walls or fixtures
Tacky putty and free-standing décor are allowed

Clean-Up

Trash should be bagged and placed in provided receptacles
Please do not stack boxes or trash on the floor
Tables and chairs should be returned to their original placement
Our staff will handle trash removal

Care of the Space

Any damage to indoor or outdoor property caused by hosts or guests is the responsibility of the renter

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made 24+ hours in advance are eligible for a refund (minus a 6% processing fee)
Cancellations within 24 hours may result in partial or no refund, depending on notice given

Rent a party keg with your favorite Kast Iron draft root beer or soda.

$85. — 5 Gallon Root Beer/Soda in Cooler
(plus sales tax on $65 for soda)

$150. — 10 Gallon Root Beer/Soda in Cooler
(plus sales tax on $130 for soda)

Cost Includes:

Keg of Kast Iron root beer (or other soda upon request)
Rental of our mobile Kast Iron keg cooler with single-tower draft handle
Delivery of cooler and keg the day before the event + pick-up the day after the event — up to 30 miles from Kast Iron Soda Works (420 E. State Street, Salem) – additional miles added at $1/mile
Set-up and connection of keg and cooler on site
Sales tax will be calculated on the cost of the keg only

Needed On site:

Flat, hard surface for placement of keg cooler
Electrical Supply with surge protection
General shelter from weather/rain

Keg Purchase Only

$65. — 5 Gallon Keg (plus sales tax)
$130. — 10 Gallon Keg (plus sales tax)
$40. keg deposit required.

Cost Includes: Keg and delivery only. No taps or cooler included. Plus, $40. keg deposit is required.
Needed On Site: Tap system that includes ball lock quick disconnects for gas-in and liquid-out lines compatible with Cornelius kegs.

We offer discounted rates for bulk sales by the case.
Orders are subject to availability of labels, and must be placed no less than 15 days prior to delivery date.

We have partnered with a third party bottler to provide custom labeled beverages for your organization or event.

1 Case (24 bottles) Minimum Per Label
Each flavor needs it’s own label. Kast Iron Soda Works can assist with label design for a fee, or can provide label specs and requirements for your own design.

$43. — Custom Soda Cases Cost
Sales tax will be added, unless a tax exempt certificate is provided. Must be prepaid to place the order. Cases include 24 bottles of the same flavor – different flavors can be ordered, but must be ordered by the full case of 24 bottles.

Covers pickup from manufacturer and delivery to you (within a 30 mile radius of Kast Iron Soda Works) — additional mileage will be calculated, or you may pick up your product from Kast Iron.
